Um projecto muito muito interessante, que me fez parar e pensar.
In connection with my fascination for the human body, I mapped out the body-typology by means of pictograms. In this book I want to show the diversity of the human body. Fat legas, thin waist, big breasts, muscular arms, round bellies and broad hips; the differences are endless. I translated this body-typology into products.
For everything we see in the world around us, we have a ‘perfect’ image in mind, an image where to we aspire.
Most of the time we reject, ignore or don’t look for possibilities with other proporcions, because people just see this ‘imposed’ ideal image.
I want to show more possibilities than just this ‘perfect’ image.
Each proportion contains its own beauty, functionality and therefore its own ‘perfection’. That’s why I want to go further than designing just one ‘perfect’ product and in this way showing the beauty of different proportions.
